I use reality therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy ( CBT) approaches, combined with a multicultural humility that allows every client to develop coping skills unique to who they are and within the bounds of their lifestyle, cultures and spirituality.
Whether you struggle with a diagnosable disorder, life transitions, multi-generational trauma - or a cocktail of it all - I will hold a space for you that is safe to speak your thoughts, feelings and experiences into. Together, we will face your sadness, explore your fears, sit with your grief, and breathe through your anger. I will always be accepting of you, even in the times you find it difficult to accept yourself.

I integrate approaches that are best for each client based on their issues, needs and goals, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Systems Approach.
I believe we all want to live a good and meaningful live. Sometimes, difficult life experiences, relationship issues, stressful jobs, traumatic situations, etc can make us feel unhappy, overwhelmed, and overall dissatisfied with our lives. This can affect our ability to think clearly and make choices that helps us to move towards what is important to us in life and being the kind of person we want to be. Therapy can help us in increasing acceptance and learn new strategies to better manage stressors and make choices that can help us move towards the life we want.

The impacts of trauma are not only cognitive, but physiological as well.
There are many reasons people seek mental health care, perhaps they're going through a tough season in life or there has been complex trauma. Regardless of a client's reason for seeking therapy, my primary goal is to create a relationship supported by comfort and safety. I believe in collaborating with my clients to create a therapeutic plan that is specifically tailored to their individual needs and goals. For those interested I do offer a therapy animal to sit in on sessions and provide additional support.

During therapy sessions, I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy to guide clients through identifying unhelpful thought and behavior patterns and empowering clients to most closely engage with themselves, others, and the world in a way that aligns with their goals and values.
Life is often referred to as a journey, adventure, or climb. To me, the commonality in these metaphors is that in order to successfully and vibrantly navigate journies, experience adventures, and traverse climbs, support is helpful and, at times, needed along the way. I honor your desire to seek support and acknowledge the courage it takes to allow someone to walk alongside you in your hopes and in your difficulties. I firmly believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and I am passionate about helping people live their lives with greater agency, conviction, and self-compassion.

Therapy can sometimes feel awkward at first; it may bring out feelings of vulnerability and may be emotionally taxing. That's why building trust and rapport early on is crucial, making you feel comfortable, safe, and heard. Once trust is established, we can collaboratively set goals and develop coping skills to tackle any challenges you face. Each client's situation is unique, guiding my therapeutic approach. I often use an eclectic mix of treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy.

As a school psychologist with over 20 years of practice experience, I use an array of strategies/methodologies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ( CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Social IQ, and Executive Functioning Coaching to help make difficult changes.
My goal is to help children, teens, parents, and expats develop a sense of well-being during stressful times. I focus on my clients' thinking, find the gaps in their skills and teach coping strategies to help them be more successful. I look closely at family dynamics and help parents develop effective ways to support their children. My research and experience in the school system and private practice have instilled in me a keen awareness of factors contributing to underachievement and learning difficulties. These include anxiety and depression, learning disabilities and other special needs that can present obstacles to success.
