I am a licensed professional counselor who earned a Master s degree in psychotherapy from Marquette University. I have a breadth of experience working with adults in both individual and group settings. I primarily work with people seeking help with depression, anxiety, PTSD, life transitions, relationship issues, loneliness, trauma, grief, boundaries, substance abuse, stress management, or adjustment issues. I have found it very helpful to approach therapy from a holistic mindset with special focus on the therapeutic relationship.
I utilize a humanistic approach to explore past and present factors that could be hindering a happier, more fulfilling, vibrant and rich life. CBT, Strengths Based, Solution Focused, and Motivational Interviewing are additional approaches I have utilized. I ve also incorporated meditation, mindfulness, and other relaxation techniques into therapy.
Therapy takes courage, discipline, and commitment. I view it as an honor, privilege to take an often life-changing journey with clients as we explore their path into therapy and delve deep into the origins of issues they want to address. I strongly believe that the capacity for hope within a person is immeasurable and so is the ability for change and growth.
