My name is Vincent Ardizzone and I am a mental health counselor, dance/movement therapist, and yoga/meditation teacher. I received my MA from Antioch University and have studied, practiced, and been trained in a variety of meditation and movement modalities over the last 10 years. I utilize a holistic approach to healing and personal growth that focuses on somatic awareness (the body/emotions), mindfulness (present moment focus and acceptance), and cognition (thoughts/memory). I also utilize brief, solutions-focused therapy that focuses on immediate resolutions to acute challenges/difficulty.
My area of specialty and interest is in the connection between the body, mind, and emotions. As a counselor, I am concerned with how to engage with these three components separately and then to integrate them so that clients can experience a full sense of well-being, safety, positive change, and healing.
I view counseling as an opportunity to act as a guide for individuals wanting to overcome challenges and difficulty in their lives and are seeking to access a greater capacity to tap into inner resilience, self-awareness, and personal strength.
