Hi, my name is Vicky Venter, and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist working in California. I work in a way that is client centered and eclectic depending on your needs. I have a strong inclination toward relational work because I understand we are hurt in relationships, and we HEAL in relationship. I am certified in Imago Couples Therapy as well as EFT and am currently training in Bioenergetics Analysis, a Somatic Psychotherapy. I work using an integrated approach. What that means is taking what you experience in the world and understanding exactly how it impacts you, then helping you decide what to do with that experience.
I help clients find their strengths, build self-awareness, and learn more effective ways to communicate their needs and feelings. I also help them find their voice, leading to more meaningful relationships and deeper connections, so they can thrive in connection, not just survive (in isolation).
I work collaboratively with my clients to help them develop a deeper awareness of self-defeating patterns and explore new approaches to their lives. My communication style provides a safe and holding environment for my clients, while being honest and direct with compassion.
