The world we live in can feel scary. Things are constantly changing, and global, societal, and personal events happen outside our control that can make it feel hard to find a place where we truly belong. At other times, life’s unpredictability brings delightful surprises and new opportunities. My goal as your therapist is to create space for contradictions: to help you experience both the challenge and the joy, so that you can move away from feeling as though you are just surviving life and towards fully, authentically living it.
My approach is psychodynamic and existential: I want to understand where you’ve been and where you hope you’re going, and to travel those paths alongside you even when the journey feels challenging. I hope to create a space where we can wrestle with even the biggest, toughest questions using compassion, curiosity, and a little bit of courage.
I am experienced in working with individuals impacted by PTSD, complex PTSD. and other forms of traumatic stress. I am passionate about providing affirming care to neurodivergent folx whose experiences of Autism, giftedness, ADHD, etc are central to their identity. I also particularly enjoy working with emerging adults and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
