We all have dealt with some type of family issue before. At times it can be hard to talk about, but sitting on it usually just makes things worse. My role in this process is to assist in delving into how these events have impacted you and how to move forward in future situations. Need to talk about trauma or issues with depression? Let's tackle this together and discover ways to overcome negative associations from the past. I help adults struggling with symptoms of depression and family issues. I also assist with anxiety and have a trauma focused background.
I primarily use the tools of compassion, mindfulness, and problem solving to offer new perspectives in dealing with instances of intergenerational trauma. In many cases, certain aspects unknowingly get repeated between parents and their children. This can be addressed through discussing your own understanding as well as opting to make changes for your future
I’ve worked in the field of social work and have come across many different cultures and age groups. I provide an empathic approach which can guide clients to look deeper into themselves while also figuring out new ways to handle certain interpersonal situations.
