Hi, I am Vicki Andrews, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I look forward to working with you in those areas of discomfort. We can work at your pace using an eclectic approach that works best for you. Therapy takes courage & I am here to support you on your path to becoming the person you want to be. I enjoy working with all persons, but hold a special place for women’s issues, adolescent concern, depression, anxiety, & trauma. As an adult who grew up in a home with an alcoholic father, I also understand those issues & concerns.
As early as 16 I recall wanting to become a counselors/therapist. I am altruistic by nature looking to help others. As a mother I learned to problem solve, looking for solutions to bring about comfortable change. Spent years as a in-home day care provider supporting parents with caring for & parenting their children.
While I use the therapeutic approach most comfortable for you, I tend to default to CBT. Often using CBT interwoven with techniques from other therapy approaches. I work collaboratively with you in a welcoming, safe, & non-judgmental way. Therapy is about you, and it needs to be a comfortable place for you to feel free to share your thoughts.
