Therapy offers a special type of connection that can provide comfort and alleviation of pain, anxiety or feelings of hopelessness. I am a deep listener, who will provide authentic feedback and encourage you to find your voice. We will work collaboratively and I will ask you often how our work is going for you.
Thirty years of teaching languages has given me experience working with individuals from various stages of life and identifying what they need in order to feel encouraged to express themselves. I have a trauma-informed, gentle and compassionate approach for highly sensitive persons (HSP's) and in treating emotional neglect and shame-related concerns.
I will welcome you with positive regard, curiosity, and genuine concern. When in session, I am completely in the moment with the person facing me. I believe in your innate ability to find balance, and offer a safe space in which your true self can flourish, free of judgment, where you are fully supported in your process.
