Finding a therapist can be stressful as it requires trust and faith that it is the right fit. I've found that building a strong relationship is the foundation of any successful therapy. My grounding philosophy is to meet people where they are at and to tailor my knowledge and experience to help them get to where they want to be. My ideal clients are those motivated, committed, and open to exploring various parts of the inner self and how these parts motivate, protect, grieve, and organize us for action. I am an inclusive therapist with a special interest in helping men understand their emotional selves.
I specialize in treating trauma, ranging from difficult childhood experiences to witnessing, being affected by, or inflicting violence. I am formally trained in DBT and EMDR and utilize other modalities such as IFS in the spirit of having the most effective approach to the issue at hand in order to treat the whole person beyond the clinical diagnosis.
I understand sometimes our own history and current challenges can make it difficult to connect with the ones we love. Beyond the valuable people in our lives, the most important relationship we can have is the one with ourselves. I hope that I can provide the space to nurture that relationship and help to challenge barriers in the way of self actualization.
