Therapy is different for everyone but regardless of circumstance, I offer an empathetic and collaborative experience; together we will diligently work toward your own specific goals, needs, and healing. Most of my clients are looking to improve the health of their relationships, learn how to properly set boundaries, address a trauma history that is negatively affecting their daily life, or more generally address symptoms of anxiety and depression as a whole.
I incorporate aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), somatic experiencing, trauma focused CBT, and other modalities while paying particular attention to the ways in which our intersecting experiences (gender, sexuality, ethnic heritage, socioeconomic status, etc.) influence our thought processes and behaviors.
Regardless of modality, I'm not here to pathologize. Struggling with our mental health is a deeply common human experience, as is pain and suffering. However, the same can be the case for growth, safety, satisfaction, and joy. Let's work together to uncover even more of your ability to access them!
