Depression and anxiety can both frightening and overwhelming for children and adults. If you are feeling like you have lost interest in things you used to love, a sense of hopelessness, difficulty falling asleep, feeling empty, wanting to harm yourself, panic attacks, irritable moods we will work together in order to help you have the courage to face your fears and move forward in these uncertain times. Children may not have the words to explain why they feel anxious or sad. They may have angry outbursts or clingy behavior. If any of these sound like you or your child please call me.
I will help teach useful strategies for coping with different situations. This might involve learning to communicate better, to think about situations from different perspectives, to reach out to others for support, to manage frustration, and to help build up confidence so you can handle anxiety-provoking situations.
