Want to be a power couple? I can show you how. In the past 10 years of my practice, I have seen many couples. I can’t say I’ve seen it all, but I have seen A LOT. Some fight explosively, triggered easily by a snide comment or an exaggerated exhale from their spouse. Others never fight but the distance between them is palpable minute they walk in the room and sit on opposite sides of my couch. However, one thing they all had in common is suffering due to a lack of connection and belonging. Humans are all wired for love and relationship, but unfortunately some never learn the skillsets necessary to be successful at partnership.
I only see couples in my practice and offer extended 90 min sessions, which allows me to give patients the highly specialized care they deserve. As a clinician, I am assertive and will intentionally guide you and your partner using techniques that work and get results. The extended sessions I offer help couples to achieve greater results in a shorter time.
Did you know that a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of California is only required to take one semester in graduate school on how to work with couples? This is absolutely not enough experience to offer couples meaningful change. I have 3 years additional training outside of school and 10 years of clinical experience working with couples.
