Hi and welcome! My name is Vanessa Richardson, I am a therapist who brings compassion and sincerity to the therapeutic process. My professional background includes working with couples, individuals, families, special education population, extensive experience in working with families building upon their natural support along with individuals and couples from all different walks of life. I gained my experience in the clinical field working in a high-school setting, and community mental health outreach program.
I approach my profession with a client-centered, strength based therapeutic process supporting the individual’s journey with seeking a counselor. I utilize a person-centered approach to counseling, which means that my clients are the experts in their own life, and in my office.
Utilizing emotionally-focused techniques to help identify prominent patterns in your life, and assist in creating a new experience within the session to change these patterns into more positive experiences.
