Hello! My name is Valerie Vecente. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I enjoy working with youth and adults. I enjoy supporting youth and adults experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma. I believe you are the expert in your life! While supporting you through this journey, I use an approach that will benefit you. This may include use of techniques from CBT, Family Systems, DBT to name a few. I believe in allowing the client to guide the sessions while I support you. You are the expert in your life!
I began working at a nonprofit in a different capacity. I saw the work that was being done, and with nudging from agency leadership I started the journey. At our first session, we will discuss what you want to get out of sessions. Setting goals is an important step of the therapeutic process!
