Hi! My name is Valerie Taber (she/her/hers), and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor based in Southern California. I am LGBTQIA+ and gender-affirming, neurodivergence-affirming, and tend to do therapy from a framework of feminism, racial justice/equity, and body neutrality/fat-positive perspectives. My specialties include working with parenting issues, late diagnosed adult ADHD and neurodivergence, women/AFAB issues, and self-esteem.
I aim to create an environment of compassion and kindness. I strongly believe we can't hate ourselves into a version we love, and that shaming and harsh criticism have no place in the therapy room. Lets work together to create a therapy experience that works for you and your needs.
