Sometimes our stress and worries can affect the way we interact in the world and can take a toll on the mind, body, and impact relationships. I specialize in helping couples experiencing relationship distress to move from disconnection to reconnection. When clients are interested in self-awareness and willing to explore beneath the surface of day-to-day living, they open up new ways to better connect within themselves and within their relationships. Whether you want to improve balance of your mental health or restore relationships - having a nonjudgmental and supportive safe space can open the door to potential change and growth.

I have experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults managing issues of relationship/family conflict, anger management, grief/loss, life transitions, anxiety/depression, women’s issues, and parenting.
My goal is to provide a safe space for clients to explore their experiences and provide support as clients take steps towards a happier and healthier future. We can explore what client's need to live life with more peace and joy moving forward. By understanding who my client is, what they have experienced, and what they hope to change will allow us to create personal goals for creating a better mental health plan for their present and their future. I believe in meeting client’s where they are and working towards goals that we set together based on the client’s needs and directed by when the client feels ready to take steps.

I understand that opening up to someone new can be daunting, and creating a trusting relationship takes time.
Starting therapy is not an easy decision. Many of us are grappling with the many challenges that life throws our way, and for the most part, we can navigate through it until one day we realize it’s just too much. I’m here to say, you’re not alone. I understand how overwhelming, scary, and intimidating it can be to search for a therapist...especially when you’re at your lowest point. I'm here to tell you that light and refuge are on the other side.

I treat a wide variety of issues ranging from major life transitions, self-esteem issues, boundary work, generalized anxiety, depression, relationship/marital issues, attachment work and childhood healing.
The difficulties we face in life can bring out the strongest and weakest parts of ourselves to the point of unrecognition. My primary and most important goal is creating what every person needs- a safe, stable, and rewarding relationship. My style is non-judgemental, open, approachable (and at times humorous).

I work from a trauma-informed and attachment-focused approach with clients experiencing grief and loss, relationship issues, trauma, anxiety, and depression.
We can all find ourselves overwhelmed by the expectations put on us by others and ourselves. Often our past experiences may have us repeating patterns and cycles in our relationships that don’t serve us and it can be easy to try to ignore our problems or stuff our feelings only to find they're coming out sideways. To cope, we may engage in behaviors that prevent us from being the best version of ourselves. Often difficult life transitions put us in a state of upheaval, leaving us feeling hopeless, anxious, or depressed. I'd like to help you navigate these challenges.

I offer clients a safe and non judgmental space to explore thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Sessions can be used to explore experiences in relationships, feelings of stress, desired changes, or symptoms associated with mental health. Clients who are interested in additional self-exploration can benefit from my talk-therapy approaches, as well as exploring emotions through the art making process. Art therapy is a creative option for clients who may feel stuck and can’t find the words to describe how they are feeling or for clients who desire visual and hands-on modes of processing.

Are you tired of feeling controlled by your anger, substance use, or toxic relationships? Do you feel as if getting out of bed is the hardest part of your day, feeling unable to make decisions and achieve your goals, or frustrated by chronic pain and illness? The first step in any journey is always the hardest, so congratulations on taking it and starting to consider participation in therapy. I would be honored to work with you to identify specifically what is and isn’t working in your life and discover how the skills and strengths you already possess can be applied in new ways to meet your goals.

Something isn’t working. Some days, nothing is working. Do you ever ask: “Is this what my life comes down to?” Do you worry that it is too late to change - that past mistakes, hurts, and injustices cannot be undone? Maybe worst is the feeling your best option is to settle for the short-lived comfort of familiar ways. After all, cold comfort feels better than no comfort. I treat many hard-working people who struggle privately with relationships, the cumulative effects of life, self-doubt, fear, bad habits, and overthinking. Some have tried therapy or coaching, but it wasn’t personalized enough, the right time, or the right approach.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
