I have worked in the field for 23 years , I specialize in depression, anxiety, PTSD, autism, grief and loss, childhood trauma, attachment, developmental issues, women issues, intellectual disabilities.

My personal philosophy is based on the awareness that each person has the ability to change any circumstance or current situations. Helping clients to bring out their potential for understanding themselves, self-healing, and personal growth so that they may know their true identity and it be the driving force of each session. Each person needs something different from therapy, such support in rock times, new ideas about unsatisfactory relationships, exploration and clarification of difficult life situations or encouragement to reach for joy and purpose in life.

My ideal client is one who is In need of coping skills to deal with mostly depression and anxiety; two of the most common issues regardless of the diagnosis. I draw from both my own personal experiences and the numerous settings I've worked in.

“Normal is just a setting on the dryer” is one of my favorite quotes. Each person is unique and therefore, therapy should not feel like a “one size fits all” solution. My goal is to treat each person in a way that embraces who they are and what they need. My belief is that when a person is truly heard and valued; that they are then able to attain their goals. I have worked with children, adolescents and adults with varying backgrounds and experiences since 2009.

I have worked with clients with anxiety, depression, substance use, personality, mood regulation, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, PTSD, eating disorders, and problems with trauma. I will often use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Therapy are forms of therapy I usually like to use as well.
