I also conduct psychological evaluations as well. I am committed to the overall well being of families and work with families in transition, such as divorce, grief and loss, and becoming new parents.

I am a licensed professional counselor and a licensed substance abuse treatment practitioner.with close to 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I utilize empathy and a strengths-based approach with a variety of techniques to work with clients coping with mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD, and substance abuse. My office is a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where an individual or family can explore their concerns without fear. I believe that it is my job to encourage and empower the clients who trust me to share in their journey.

I work with adult individuals, children (2-18), and parents. I help clients creatively turn pain into coping skills, missed connections into secure relationships, and problematic behaviors into strengths and resiliency. Tami Light has over 25 years of experience working with individuals, families, and couples experiencing crises. Her practice is based in authenticity, fostering a safe space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. Tami earned her BSW at George Mason University and her MSE at the University of Southern California.

Sometimes when we think about seeing someone for our health, we worry about feeling like we're under the microscope. I want more than anything for people to walk in, feel welcome, and take their time to feel understood. Seeking out counseling can be one of the hardest steps you take, but I like to make it a point to show you just how strong you really are.
