I am a licensed professional counselor with over 20 years of experience providing space for people to process whatever they are dealing with. People come to me with a wide range of different issues. I am an eclectic therapist but tend to focus on using cognitive behavioral therapy. I love to meet new people, and I would love to work with you.

You might feel sad, angry, and misunderstood even though you feel like you have a lot going for you. You wonder why you keep experiencing difficulty in relationships but feel stuck for fear of being lonely or that it would be too hard to deal with others' reactions to standing up for yourself. You're exhausted from trying to keep everyone else happy and feeling like a doormat sometimes. You don't want to feel this way anymore. You're ready to make a change on your own terms.

I believe that life is a process of becoming. With the passing of time, we all change and so our needs and wants within ourselves and within our relationships also change. Are you eager for positive change that improves your relationships with others and allows for new understanding and compassion for yourself? Increased awareness and clarity of unconscious patterns can provide opportunities to heal old wounds and create new paths and shifts towards fulfillment. I encourage prospective clients to give me a call or email to ask questions that might help you determine if my approach is a good fit for your current needs.

My succesful client are the ones who tried therapy in the past, felt like they didn't "click" with their therapist didn't work as well as they had wanted and are hesitant to try again but hold out hope that they can have the life they always wanted. One of the greatest feelings I have as a therapist is watching a client is seeing a client go from lack of confidence and hope to to a place of confidence, peace and happiness.

I graduated from Regent University in May 2007. I have been licensed since July2010 and have been in private practice since that time. Choosing to become a counselor was a difficult decision for me, as it necessitated returning to school after 20 years as a working professional . However, it is the best decision of my life to date. I have experience working with adolescents and adults. The individuals I’ve worked with are dealing with resolving childhood (and recent) traumatic events in their lives as well as anxiety and/or depression. When working with trauma I assist the individual in resolving those events and help them understan

If only life came with a manual, then we wouldn’t need “leaders” to guide us, educate us, motivate us, and encourage us. Life would be perfect with blue skies and no worries. Well unfortunately it doesn’t and sometimes our worlds get cloudy, and we need a extra level of support to guide us through this journey of life. Sometimes change can be uncomfortable especially when you are vulnerable, but knowing that you need help is the first step to the healing process (So great job and kudos to you). I am a Licensed Clinician Social Worker, and I’m here to be that ‘manual’ for you.
