I graduated from Radford University with a Masters in Social Work. Since becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have worked with a diverse group of clients. In my experiences I have worked with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, dementia, intellectual disabilities with dual diagnoses. I have worked at a Community Service Board providing support to clients with numerous mental health diagnoses, and at a crisis center providing support to clients with dual diagnoses in crisis. I focus on children. adults, and geriatric clients using cognitive therapy and adjust therapy based on each client.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in trauma and women’s health. My experience includes a wide array of modalities and diagnostic presentations as well as in delivering psychological testing assessments for adolescents and adults. My training is rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy, and I incorporate aspects of humanistic theory which means I believe in everyone’s capacity to overcome hardship and pain. My research and clinical efforts have largely focused on supporting survivors of sexual assault. I am trained in several trauma-focused therapies and I am a certified provider for Cognitive Processing Therapy.

Sue McCray is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has more than 6 years of experience working with survivors of trauma due to domestic and sexual violence, anxiety, depression, and more. She's also provided relief for individuals enduring grief and loss, and supported individuals on their journey towards building a new life of sobriety in an inpatient residential treatment facility. Throughout her career, she has provided both individual and group therapy, as well.
