I have worked in inpatient and outpatient settings with a variety of clients and bring decades of experience to your therapy. I have taught at colleges and am a published author. My private practice focuses on individual therapy with adults, with a special emphasis on PTSD and other anxiety disorders. I believe every client and his or her situation is unique. I do not believe a one-size fit all approach to therapy. I may use EMDR, cognitive-behavioral, solution-oriented and even plain old common sense and humor in our work together. I consider therapy a joint effort, a partnership, a "We're in this together" experience.

As a trauma therapist (EMDR) and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, (CSAT), I focus on both individual work and repairing broken relationships related to the impact of addiction and trauma. I have studied extensively with Pia Mellody since 1999, honing the skills necessary to work on trauma, codependency, love addiction and developmental immaturity. This groundbreaking work assists people who are either in recovery, have relationship issues or who just want to enhance the quality of their lives.

Also, I can help with life stressors such as work related stress, divorce, separation, blended families, parent/child relationships, parenting skills, infidelity and trust, adjustment issues, social skills training, self esteem issues, emotional issues, motivational issues, and goal setting.

I help couples: 1) Uncover what the real problem is, face it, and create the relationship they desire. 2) Stop hurting each-other, learn how to communicate well, and be there for each-other. 3) Face past hurts, heal from betrayals, and address fears so they can trust their partners. 4) Do what it takes to change, reconnect with their integrity. 5) Learn to appreciate each-others differences so they are deeply understood.
