This is the focus of my psychotherapy work. My practice specializes in working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, self-doubt, family conflict, and relationship difficulties.

Studies show failure to appreciate even small accomplishments can contribute to emotional distress. Asking for help is generally smart, brave, and healthy. I treat teenagers ages 16-19, singles, and couples. Parent counseling is available to Moms and Dads with parenting and step-parenting questions. Sensorimotor Therapy and EMDR are also offered when called for. My office provides a confidential, safe, and nonjudgmental environment for learning and growth. My BA is from New York University and my MA is from Catholic University. I have extensive post-graduate training from the Washington School of Psychiatry, The SensoriMotor Psychotherapy Institute, and from EMDR of Greater Washington.

Dr. Baly is a clinical psychologist who works with individuals and families experiencing a range of issues. He specializes in treating acute and complex trauma, anxiety and mood disorders, self-harm and suicide, addictive behaviors, relationship issues, and major life transitions. Dr. Baly received a B.A. from Harvard and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Virginia. He has trained at several nationally recognized institutions, including the Institute of Living, Johns Hopkins, and the Kennedy Krieger Institute. He is passionate about helping people cope with present day stressors and issues stemming from past trauma.

I currently provide individual psychotherapy to children (ages 5 and over), adolescents, and young adults. I use a holistic approach in working with individuals who may struggle with anxiety, depression, social skills, relationships, low self-esteem, emotional regulation, ADHD, executive functioning difficulties, life transitions, and related issues. I also specialize in administering psychological evaluations.

Kara Tracy, an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), brings over 5 years of expertise in assisting adolescents and adults in navigating through diverse life challenges, including trauma, adolescent out-of-home placement, life transitions, depression, anxiety, infertility, grief/pregnancy loss, and substance addiction. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Mary Baldwin University and her Master of Science (MS) in Clinical Mental Health from Capella University.

My goal as a mental health professional is to create a warm, empathetic, and positive environment for clients to cope and heal through the difficult times, while working towards wellness in anticipation of better times to come. Building a strong therapeutic alliance and creating a safe, supportive space for clients of all backgrounds, age groups, and presenting concerns to share is the primary aim of my practice.
