Clients who come to therapy are arguably the best suited to tell us what their needs are and where the gap exists between their needs and goals for their best life. Living with grief, loss, anxiety, PTSD, psych ache, relationship distress, trauma (including racial trauma), rejection, and mood disorders takes a toll, not only on everyday functioning but also on self-esteem, self-efficacy and self-care.

Deciding to start therapy takes courage and vulnerability and as a counselor, I feel honored to bear witness to pain and hold hope for healing and growth. My approach to counseling is to provide a safe, judgment-free space for you to process and explore your emotions and thoughts. I use a strengths-based, collaborative approach to empower my clients as they process thoughts/emotions and navigate life. Every person is deserving of a full and balanced life and aim to provide my clients with the tools, skills, and help needed to achieve their goals.

I have been a Licensed Clinical Psychologist since 2005 and use Cognitive-Behavioral and Solution-Focused treatments to help people navigate struggles with stress, mood, anxiety, family, relationships, and grief. I have specialized training in marriage and relationships, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and OCD. I pride myself on creating a relaxed and comfortable therapeutic environment as I know that this space is many people’s first experience with therapy. I believe in setting goals for growth and change and I love to give “homework”, nothing crazy just something to be thoughtful of or working on until the next session.

Christopher is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 3 years of experience working in a variety of counseling settings, including ambulatory crisis stabilization, inpatient hospitalization, residential treatment, and school-based services. Christopher has extensive experience treating clients with mood disorders; anxiety disorders; trauma- and stress-related- disorders; and disruptive, impulse control, and conduct disorders. I'm a seasoned counselor with 37 years as a licensed counselor. I have worked in emergency mental health in a hospital setting for 17 years and concurrently had a private practice. Prior to partial retirement, I worked in two local colleges as a mental health counselor. I took care of my ailing mother for 13 years and needed to be home more, so I signed on with Grow.
