Hi, my name is Joanna. I am available to meet with you via TeleHealth. I have a friendly and welcoming laid-back approach. I am nonjudgmental, compassionate and supportive. If you feel disconnected from your authentic self, I can help you find your way home. We will work together to find freedom from unhelpful thoughts and unsupportive behavior patterns. I am trauma-informed and trained. I also have specialized training in recovering from unhealthy and emotionally immature relationships. I can teach you more about your mind, body and emotions but you are the expert and I would be honored to be a fellow traveler on this life journey.

I hold licenses in both Professional Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy, I provide individual, couple, family and group counseling for children and adults. I offer workshops and psycho educational classes for parenting, family core values, healthful eating and individual empowerment, all have been well received with positive outcomes. I use various evidenced based therapuetic modalities and I believe in a compassionate approach during the therapuetic process. I am also committed to helping each individal connect with their innate core value. I am a Certified Grief Counseling Specialist, and a Resident Supervisor.

My experience includes working with couples, families, and individuals on relationship issues, family conflict, depression, anxiety, abuse, addiction, and women’s issues. We will work together to identify and work on issues you bring to our sessions. My approach to counseling operates from a strength base approach to help you identify your strengths within yourself and develop self-awareness that will aid you to meet your goals through your active involvement as well as efforts to change your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Sometimes change will be easy and swift, but often it will be slow and deliberate.

As a clinician, I can help you to decide what stays, what goes, what skills should be emphasized, and what skills should be learned. I have supported others to solve relationship problems, establish effective coping systems, with adjusting to difficult life experiences and spaces. We are both experts in the room and I will use my understandings of integrative practices to help build the dream that you imagine for yourself.
