I like to work with folks who do not know exactly what they need, but are needing something that is not likely to be relieved with psychotropic medications. Those have been tried, and do not work as desired. There are many who feel this way. Certainly, they may have significant depression, anxiety, worry, or all of these, but cannot say what causes those feelings. I may be able to help with Neurofeedback. I have done it for 30 yrs. and it works extremely well. I like to do "talk therapy" to help them recognize what may be going on within themselves, now or long ago. I also do "Reiki", Energy Medicine adjustments.

I am most easily accessible via email, and would recommend that you send an email to reach me. I have over 10 years experience working with those struggling with addiction. This is almost always due to past trauma events that initially lead to substance use. Depression and anxiety are often co-occurring disorders that accompany substance use disorders and can lead to further life disruption. My clients want freedom from the mental heath and substance use disorders that are holding them back from their full potential and reaching their dreams.

Lonely but not alone. Another scroll through your social feed - Wedding pics. A baby on the way. A new house. Those couples look so annoyingly happy. And here you are. With YOUR partner thinking, “Where's our happily ever after?" In the beginning, you had so much fun together - talking and laughing for hours - but now you haven’t had a real conversation in weeks. And what’s the point in talking? It’s just fight after fight. You thought you had so much in common. Now, you're not sure you even KNOW who your partner is anymore. Romance, intimacy, and trust are long gone. "Would it be better if we just called it quits?"

Struggling with emotions, thoughts or relationships with self or others is difficult. Even when we try to ignore them; along with our childhood experiences or traumas, we suffer. Many of us can acknowledge difficulties in relationships and/or struggles with our own internal world but don’t know how to make the necessary changes needed to improve or change them.

Sometimes even the smartest and most capable women I know feel stuck. It could be moving beyond an issue in a relationship, anxiety, perfectionism or it could be an eating disorder or traumatic memory. You may feel like you are underperforming in life and relationships or just completely overwhelmed with everything going on. When we do not have the social support we need or just not sure how to use our social support, it can be helpful to talk to a professional and get objective feedback. To be asked thought provoking questions. To get ideas with how to move forward and start thriving in life!

I know what it’s like to go through hard times and what a difference having a skilled, compassionate therapist can make. For over 15 years, it’s been a privilege for me to do the same for my clients. My passion is helping clients heal from different types of traumas (PTSD, complex-developmental, intergenerational, attachment, religious, etc). These traumas often lead to symptoms of depression, anxiety, impulsive/addictive behaviors, eating disorders, and personality disorders – all which I have experience and success in working with.

We all have suffering in our lives-- it's part of human experience. Too often, however, there is a layer of unnecessary psychological pain caused by unconscious defenses. We often resist painful feelings and the realities they point to. When this happens chronically we can get stuck in our resistance, becoming emotionally and physically sick. So our suffering increases. I work together with patients to build and/or embrace their capacity to honestly and compassionately face, untangle, and accept truths they can no longer resist.
