On a professional note, I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Virginia. Before joining the Lifebulb team, I've worked across various mental health settings, from psychiatric inpatient to residential recovery and outpatient care. I am different from most therapists in that I offer solutions early in the therapy process and I give advice. I tend to work well with people who want to get better, but are not necessarily excited about seeing a therapist - or who have not benefited from therapy in the past. It is very valid to seek out a therapist simply for support. It is what a lot of people need. But it is difficult to find a therapist who will help you understand what is perpetuating your problems in a clear and actionable way - and who will offer evidence-based interventions to make your life better as soon as possible so that you can live a happier life.

I provide individualized testing services for toddlers, children, and teens. In doing a psychological assessment, my goal is to understand your child’s strengths and weaknesses, learning style, and developmental level. I use assessment results to make research-supported, child-specific recommendations for home, school, and the community. I also diagnose neurodevelopmental differences or mental health conditions, as a diagnosis is often needed to access treatment or school services. I can also provide consultation with schools or about your child’s IEP.
