There is no one taking responsibility for your life, except for you. Probably you have tried so many times to turn things around and accept and meditate and manifest. But you still feel like there is another, a better way. And you are right. There is that way, which lies within you, and within you alone. And this way can feel daring and scary. Learn to use your embodied intuition so that you are alive in your decisions, without emotional and mental blockages. Let us return your life to one that comes from a place from deep serenity, aliveness, and love. A place that does not need years of therapy, but profound and heartfelt clarity.

My practice is dedicated to supporting women in their strength and resilience to heal from abuse and trauma, and to learn to cope with life changes and developmental stressors. Healing from trauma allows us to be more present to enjoy life, relate better with our loved ones, and move forward to achieve our full potential. In addition, in my practice I work with first and second generation immigrants. For the last 17 years I have provided bilingual services in English and Spanish. I am trained in EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and Family Systems.

Do you feel chronically disconnected or stuck in unhelpful patterns despite "knowing better"? This misalignment might be affecting your physical health, your relationships, your sense of self, and your visions for the future. While many of the strategies you relied upon in early life were both necessary and adaptive, they can also become what hold you back later in life. What if we explore some of your origin stories and update those defaults to better reflect who you are, instead of who you believed you had to be? What if we deepen your self-belonging, thereby strengthening your capacity to connect more effortlessly with others?

Take off the mask! I can help you overcome bad relationships, sleep issues, and help you gain peace of mind by having success in your ability to deal with life on life's terms.
So, you are the one who "doesn't need anyone's help". You ignore the red flags in relationships or neglect yourself because someone needs you. You're the overwhelmed person who wears the happiness mask even though you are feeling drained, depleted or trying to heal your past traumas. If you’re ready to reduce the stress, heal, or confidently achieve peace for a better quality of life, you're in the right place.

Let’s pause here for a moment and applaud you for taking the first step in building the life that you want. It is brave to be vulnerable and this moment took courage. Finding the right therapist can be an overwhelming task, and today you set aside your demanding to-do list and made it a priority. I have over 20 years of experience proving quality therapeutic services to adults, adolescents and children. As a Licensed Behavior Analyst for the past 13 years, I have also worked closely with children and adults on the Autism Spectrum, and those diagnosed with emotional and/or behavioral challenges.

Sleep or Insomnia Therapists

How effective is treatment for insomnia?

The most effective treatments for insomnia are behavioral techniques that reduce anxiety, including anxiety about falling asleep, and allow the body’s natural cycles to be recalibrated. The most common treatment is cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which researchers have found to be more useful than medication, with rates of success as high as 80 percent.

Are there specific medications for sleep problems?

There are many medications, both over-the-counter and prescription that treat sleep problems. Supplements such as melatonin are popular and may help, though there is little evidence that it is more effective than a placebo. Prescription medications such as zolpidem are sometimes prescribed.

Are there natural treatments for sleep problems?

There are many natural treatments for everyday sleep problems. Reducing blue-light emitting screens, setting a regular bedtime, regular exercise, reducing caffeine and nicotine consumption, and keeping the bedroom dark and cool at night are all lifestyle changes that can help those who struggle with sleep but may not reach the level of an insomnia diagnosis.

What’s the difference between having trouble falling asleep and insomnia?

Life events, stress, and anxiety can lead to sleepless nights for everyone from time to time. To be diagnosed with insomnia, a patient must experience trouble falling asleep, trouble remaining asleep, waking up too early, or non-restorative sleep at least three nights per week for at least one month. Sleep problems affect one-third to one-half of the population, while chronic insomnia affects about 10 to 15 percent of people.
