As a licensed mental health counselor in both the states of Texas & Utah, I am committed to providing a safe and supportive space for individuals and families seeking guidance and healing. My mission is to empower individuals to overcome obstacles, cultivate resilience, and live authentically. With over 10 years of experience in the field, I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and enjoy utilizing this treatment modality in helping clients who desire to heal from trauma and/or various limiting, negative core beliefs about self.

In my time working with DCFS, I have gained experience working with families that have been impacted by abuse or neglect, substance abuse, mental illness, and domestic violence. I have also worked with couples to reaffirm and strengthen relationships providing any necessary resources available to them. I believe in utilizing the bond between animals and human connection to heal their deepest traumas in the form of Equine Therapy. I also utilize my horses and animals as the self-care part of my life.

Sometimes one becomes stuck in destructive cycles or unhealthy patterns learned in childhood. Maybe it was neglect, abuse, or a chaotic environment due to a parent figure so wrapped up in their own trauma, they were unable to be there for you. Or maybe a more recent trauma (an accident, sexual assault, military experiences, etc.) is bothering you. And no matter how hard you try to numb and suppress the past, it has a way of dictating your present behaviors and affecting the way you feel about yourself and function in relationships today.
