When we fall short of the successful lives we imagine it is often because we lack in a skill set or have something specific holding us back. Lucky for us- humans are adaptable! We can change the way we think, feel and behave and learn new skills that better serve us. As an EMDR therapist I strive to connect genuinely with my clients in order for therapy to be a safe space for change to take place. I prioritize meeting my clients where they are at while still empowering them to grow.

I believe that real growth and deep change is possible with the right therapeutic relationship. I love witnessing this growth and change my clients experience in therapy. Through this process, my clients heal past wounds, overcome addictive tendencies, and connect more deeply to themselves and others.

I am a narcissist survivor. Therapy helped me untangle and reassign responsibility in my experiences. I understand the pain of emotional abuse, single motherhood, divorce, trauma and the heartache of feeling alone and unimportant. Life gets hard and unfair. My personal experiences give me deep empathy for my clients. My goal is to help others find themselves, heal from depression and trauma, and learn to use their voice with confidence and power. I understand the science behind good relationships and want to empower you in finding peace, connection, healing, and belonging.

Therapy should never be easy, but it should always be worth it. I work with couples, families, and individuals seeking help with relationship issues, depression, anxiety, betrayal trauma and infidelity, faith transitions, re-marriage and stepfamily blending, unwanted pornography use, and ADHD. I believe that "Self-compassion is far more likely to move us forward than self-hatred." -Dr. Jennifer Finlayson-Fife. I would be honored to help you find that self-compassion, which will benefit you individually and in your relationships.

I love empowering individuals to take control of their lives through therapy. I focus on religious/life transitions, women’s sexuality, and challenges related to suicidality/self-harm. I work with adults and teenagers and recognize the profound impact of family dynamics and personal systems on individual happiness. To address these dynamics, I work with individuals, families, and couples, helping them identify and address system malfunctions. Furthermore, I am deeply committed to supporting the LGBTQ community on their journey toward self-actualization, drawing upon extensive experience and passion for this work.

We all tell ourselves stories that aren't true. It might be that we're incapable, not enough, or "Just too messed up". My job is to support and walk with you as we deconstruct those beliefs, redefine what a beautiful life looks like while leaving behind what no longer serves you. I love building strong therapeutic relationships, I use multiple strategies and my approach is eclectic. I provide gender affirming care in a safe, validating, non-judgmental, peaceful space for people to explore their identity. I also help individuals leaving high demand religions/cults.

Let me guess, you've been in therapy for years and nothing has helped much? You are not alone. Mental health treatment has failed clients who suffer from complex developmental trauma. This is the trauma that happened as a child and there was no escaping the day to day nightmare of not being kept safe. These clients do not benefit from traditional cognitive-behavioral treatment approaches and talk therapy. They likely have high levels of dissociation and a chronic sense of disconnection from themself and others. They have had to turn on themselves in order to survive the unimaginable. It is time to return home to yourself.

I believe in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship, and the inherent resilience and strength each person holds. I work from a trauma-informed and psychodynamic perspective, understanding that life's experiences shape and impact who we are and how we function immensely. Through these various experiences, many of us develop maladaptive coping strategies and unhelpful beliefs, and have lost sight of our resilience and inner knowing. We each have the ability to redirect our faulty beliefs, and to know and trust ourselves again. It's never too late to find new meaning and connection, and to create a life worth living.

My goal as a therapist is to help you discover true connection within yourself and to others through deep exploration of your past experiences, and future hopes and desires. Together we can find the healing and change you may be looking for, and develop a strong sense of self through strength based approaches, mindfulness techniques, and acceptance and commitment therapy. Trained in a psychodynamic approach, we will explore the unconscious mind and help bring awareness to your thoughts and patterned behaviors. I also use modalities such as EMDR and Neurofeedback to help calm and stabilize clients and work through traumas.

Do you feel alone and unbalanced, like you’re spread thin without relief in sight? Do you feel guilty for not feeling the way you “should”? Have you lost hope? Stress and despair around issues such as pregnancy loss, infertility, pregnancy complications, birth trauma, unplanned pregnancies, postpartum anxiety and depression and the transition to parenthood often go unaddressed, leaving women and their families feeling disjointed and alone. It's time to break the silence and reclaim the hope you deserve. Your story is unique and warrants individualized attention as you work to rebuild in a safe, supportive environment.
