As a trauma-informed therapist, it's important to help individuals find safety in their environment and surroundings. In session, we start by developing skills to manage emotional triggers before working through personal stressors/traumas. After coping skills are established, we will begin processing the stressors/traumas through a variety of modalities depending on what feels best for each client. Because therapy is not one size fits all, I take an eclectic approach to therapy, providing a wide range of tools and resources to help each client work through their personal struggles.

Feeling lonely, hurt, misunderstood, or frustrated in your marriage can feel overwhelmingly debilitating at times. As a therapist, I am here to support you and your partner without judgment, wherever you may be in your journey. Using evidence-based practices, I work with couples to foster healthier relationship patterns by deepening their understanding of themselves and each other. This can be hard–as it requires vulnerability, honesty, and practice–but I believe in you! Some of the greatest hope and healing I have witnessed, transpires between partners in the therapy room.

I strive to be relationship focused in all I do as a counselor, even in my individual work. I believe the research and have observed how loneliness hurts: we thrive when connected and struggle when isolated. I utilize EFT and the Gottman Method with couples; I focus on family work with children because individual play therapy is often unhelpful, in the long-term; Filial Play Therapy and PCIT are my favorites models for parents with their children. I utilize ACT and Arbinger principles in most of my work. I foster connections with my clients but especially between clients and their people, including their spiritual Connection.

Finding the right therapist can be difficult, especially if you feel you don't fit the mold. While I have years of experience working with those from a variety of religious and cultural backgrounds, I believe that having a therapeutic space free from undue religious influence or judgement is ideal for growth and change. The Therapy Inn hopes to provide that safe environment where those from any background will feel welcomed, understood, and respected regardless of world view, religious affiliation, gender identity, sexual orientation, or how you take your coffee (or don't.)

Trauma and EMDR are my passions due to personal experiences with PTSD and the healing I’ve witnessed and experienced through EMDR. I have worked with individuals in a generalized practice experience including anxiety, depression, OCD, suicidality, childhood abuse, etc... Am gaining an increased skill level with those who have experienced PTSD, complex PTSD, Dissociative Disorders (general), & Dissociative Identity Disorder. Attachment Theory, Adaptive Information Processing Model, Polyvagal Theory and Systems Theory are the bases from which I work.

I know that sometimes in life we reach a point where we feel stuck, but there is hope. My ideal patient is focused upon personal growth and healing. Whether it’s depression, anxiety, trauma recovery, couples and marriage concerns, OCD, among other issues we face in life, therapy can help. You don't have to do this alone. You are probably looking for a way to break these patterns, and there is. I help clients work through trauma and leave the unhealthy patterns that may have been useful for them in the past, but are now getting in the way of the life they want to live.

Hello, My name is Liliana and I work at Utah Lakes Neuroscience Mental Health Center, where we take an integrative approach to Mental Health and Trauma Therapy. Do you feel lost, lonely, scared, helpless? Have you had enough BIG reactions to little events that just leave you feeling so heavy and defeated. Does it all begin with an endless pit in your stomach, or your heart racing so fast you think you're going to spin out of control. Can you feel it right now as you read this? Are you wanting for someone to give you answers, understand you, or just listen without judgement, or preconceived ideas of who you are?

I strongly believe in the facet of the human spirit which is indomitable. This quality traverses culture and ethnicity, and so often plays a major role in recovery. The concept of radical acceptance invites individuals to embrace a regret of the past and fear of the future as part of the human experience while discovering what they truly value as they achieve treatment goals working toward sustainable mental health. As individuals learn to accept the fear that accompanies risk, the journey towards healing is a remarkable one to witness and, for me, is the true payoff as a therapist.

Hi there! I am Amelia. I work with both couples and individuals. If you are looking for a compassionate, warm therapist who can still challenge you to be your best self, you have come to the right place. Whether you are struggling with depression and anxiety, relationship challenges, or overcoming past trauma, this is a place where you can come to discuss the things in your life that are challenging you beyond your capacity to cope alone, and begin to heal.
