Trauma and difficulties in life can cloud our ability to have hope or feel like things can get better. Reaching out for support during tough times is not only brave but often a catalyst to finding more hope, healing, and happiness. I work with clients struggling with moods, behaviors, or memories that are impacting daily living and who want to function and feel better. I’m committed to helping individuals I work with reach their goals and improve their overall well-being and satisfaction with life.

If you wrestle with depression, or anxiety, or mood dysregulation, I can help. If you have relationship challenges, I can help. Couples who began their lives with strong attraction sometimes feel the fondness and admiration they once had slipping away, and end up living in bitter disappointment. I've helped countless couples regain that spark and learn to nurture the love that first brought them together. If you are someone who wants to identify and pursue the true meaning in your life, and are looking for some guideposts along the way, I can help with that too.

Pain from trauma does not need to rule your life, nor does trauma always come from a catastrophic event. Often my clients come to me in pain, feeling lost and suffering with symptoms of anxiety and depression. During therapy, I often hear, “I finally have space in my head to think and energy to do the things I want to do.” Therapy is at its best when you are listened to in a deeper way. I have been told by clients that they feel I “make room” for them with a kind and personal approach. Imagine yourself feeling lighter, feeling joy, and having more energy. It is possible.

I love meeting with people of all genders, beliefs and personalities! As a female identified therapist with 15 years of clinical experience, I specialize in treating adults with traumatic origins within organizations, families and relationships. My approach is unique: I see you as MORE than a diagnosis. You are human first. I meet you with dignity and without judgement. I'm open about my healing journey with therapy and often solicit feedback from clients. I love using a warm, human approach with a side of dark humor. We can laugh in here! I’m also a proud member of the LGBTQ Affirmative Therapists Guild of Utah.

Life experience has taught me that everyone has goodness within them. Despite this, our challenges and life circumstances can, at times, prevent us from seeing that goodness within ourselves. I work to help people recognize and tap into that goodness, see their strengths and worth, and unload the burdens life has brought; ultimately finding healing and peace.

I work with all types of new clients, however primarily focus on Men's issues related to trauma, anxiety and depression. I have a good deal of life and educational experience that combine to handle an array of issues. I have worked in many different environments and with a vast age range. You will find that my natural demeanor offers a calming atmosphere to discuss life’s issues. The populations that I most enjoy working with are those who have traumatic experiences and would like to work to change their reaction to their surroundings, rather than attempt to force their surrounds to change to fit their needs.

You're not entirely certain what's wrong and you might be asking yourself, "Am I crazy?" Your emotions change from feeling anxious, depressed, or irritable, to maybe feeling nothing at all. It may be that sometimes things come to mind that you would rather not think about, but you can't seem to turn it off. Maybe you find that you feel disconnected from yourself or others in your life. At the end of each day you might wonder how you're going to get up and do it all again, and you've reached the point where this is no longer sustainable and cannot be ignored, and you want more for your life.
