The process of change and healing can be overwhelming, but it is one you don’t have to do alone. We walk many paths in our lifetime with each journey serving as an opportunity of self-exploration. It is a privilege to work with individuals and families to navigate life’s challenges and find ways to peace and happiness. I've had a focus on healing from trauma and abuse, relationship dynamics, life transitions and issues affecting women. I provide a safe space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, make lasting change and move through the therapeutic process at your own pace.

I enjoy working with anyone who is genuine, and has an honest desire to learn about themselves, and the courage to begin to make small changes. I fully appreciate clients who are teachable, and who have open minds to understand new concepts. Not all clients are able to identify their goals in the beginning of therapy. This is some thing I enjoy working with clients to determine what changes will create the most positive impact in their lives, or in the challenges they are facing I approach clients with a person centered orientation, and a strength-based approach.

Therapy can be a great support to process, find empowerment to move forward, and address worries and fears about the future. I am specialized in couples therapy, as I am certified in Gottman Therapy (level one) and am Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) trained as of November 2024. Couples struggling to find common ground, build understanding and feeling disconnected can benefit from treatment with me. It is privilege to work with people of all different backgrounds and opinions and can ensure that regardless of who you are, where you come from and what you’ve been through, you are safe with me.

One of my all-time favorite quotes is “broken crayons still color”. To understand that you can feel broken and still have value is vital. It means that your worthiness is not based upon the things that have happened to you. Nor is it based upon your mistakes, your outward appearance, or your lack of friendships. The list goes on and on. My personal belief of worthiness means that it applies to ALL and bears no cost, much like the concept of grace. This is a belief I try to bring into all my sessions.

You've started to notice your child seeking constant reassurance or engaging in repetitive behaviors, or perhaps you've noticed them avoiding social events or expressing excessive worry. Maybe you've noticed your child struggling after going through a difficult event and they are now struggling with nightmares, mood swings, and seem constantly on edge. As a parent, you're feeling lost, overwhelmed, and unsure how to help. Therapy can be the opportunity for you and your child to better understand these struggles and develop effective skills and long lasting solutions.

The strength and courage it takes to be able to share our experiences is a beautiful and sacred part of humanity. As a trauma therapist, my ultimate goal and passion is to help individuals express, embrace and empower their true authentic selves. When we can live honoring our true selves, we create meaning and find purpose in what we aspire to achieve in life. This empowers us to take control of our lives, and by working on our trauma, we have the opportunity to break free from shame, guilt, fear or resistance by embracing our true selves.

Starting on the path of counseling or therapy can be a bit intimidating. However, it doesn’t need to be. Working in a friendly and caring environment and with an understanding and caring counselor can make the process easier, more comfortable, and even fun. Sometimes we may feel as though we are broken; but I don’t believe anyone is actually broken, they are just doing something in a way that they wish they weren’t. The trick is to find a new way, an enjoyable way, a way that rejuvenates, reinvigorates, and brings zest to life. To learn more please reach out or schedule an appointment on my website. I'm happy to help : )

Are you ready to heal from childhood trauma, domestic violence, sexual assault, or relationship betrayal trauma? Many individuals struggle with feelings of inadequacy, anxiety, and depression linked to past experiences. Survivors of domestic violence often deal with low self-esteem and challenges in setting boundaries, while those affected by sexual assault may face guilt, shame, and intimacy issues. Betrayal trauma can shatter trust, leading to persistent anger and fear of abandonment. You don’t have to navigate this alone. Together, we can work towards healing, rebuilding your sense of self, and creating healthier relationships.
