Hello! I provide play therapy for children, individual therapy for teens and adults, couples therapy and family therapy. I commonly treat children who struggle with anxiety, anger, depression, listening difficulty, coping skills, dealing with divorce and more. I use play therapy, bibliotherapy, art therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy for children. I create an individualized program for them where they can learn and grow. For adults and teens, I use cognitive behavioral therapy, art therapy and talk therapy. For couples and families, I use talk therapy, emotionally focused therapy , solution focused and experiential therapies.

Over the past twelve years, I have been working in the mental health and wellness field. I enjoy working with clients to help create a space for safety, skill building, and one where we create solutions together. I work well with couples and individuals. I treat trauma, anxiety, depression, relationships, and self-confidence/self-esteem issues. Now Accepting New Clients. I practice counseling individuals and families at Mental Health of Southern Utah. I specialize in the treatment of attachment, depression, anxiety, and addiction. I have helped many through addictions of pornography and other substances. I have worked with teenagers and families for well over 10 years. I and was trained foundationally in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy from the Linehan Institute at the Mclean Hospital in Boston, MA, as well as was trained in EMDR therapy. I have been trained in the Gottman approach for couples counseling and enjoy helping couples learn to connect and communicate.

I work with depression and anxiety as well as more complex cases and issues including traumas, childhood traumas, personality disorders, dissociative disorders, suicidal ideation, self-harm, family and relational issues, attachment issues, dual-diagnoses, mood disorders, and complex PTSD. I seek to provide an empowering, trauma-informed, safe, and judgment-free environment where I will encourage you to develop the life you want to live. I will also challenge thinking patterns that may impact your ability to accomplish your goals.

My current practice is focused on psychological evaluations only. Not doing therapy at this time. My education and experience is rooted in Attachment Theory with focus on displaced children and their caregivers. I have been actively involved in the assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder and other behavioral disorders (i.e. ADHD, ODD, Conduct Disorder) and mental health disorders (i.e. anxiety, depression, trauma related disorders, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder). I have focused on direct clinical services including psychological evaluations, individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, supervision, and consultation.

I have worked as a therapist in a variety of settings since 2002. I have experience working with a wide spectrum of problems including those related to trauma (PTSD), depression, anxiety, marital issues, anger management, addictions, and parenting. For seven years I worked in a residential treatment program where clients were between the ages of 13 and 17, with presenting problems that ranged from Asperger's Disorder to ADHD to Substance Use Disorders. After leaving residential treatment I joined with LifeSTAR of St George and began working with individuals and couples plagued by pornography and sexual compulsion/addiction.
