As a therapist, I focus on creating a safe environment for clients to learn about themselves and their relationships. I work to balance accepting you where you are, and gently guiding you to where you want to be. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families. I help my clients achieve their goals and build healthier relationships. My clients feel accepted and safe in their work with me, which is something I value.

Trauma affects us all, unfortunately for some, trauma can cause problems beyond the ability to cope. When triggered, the brain can get stuck in fight or flight mode, limiting one's ability to think rationally and function in daily life. Another part of living with the effects of trauma is dealing with the difficult and painful emotions which can cause problems in our relationships and can negatively impact our connections with others. Depression, anxiety, grief, anger, confusion, frustration, shame, and isolation can all be a result of unresolved trauma.

There are few things in life that bring as much joy as helping people change and grow. I love my work as a therapist and I look forward to helping my clients find confidence and motivation to change and improve their lives. I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist and I work with individuals, couples, and families. I am fluent in Spanish and enjoy working with the Latino population with their unique challenges.

My clients say that I really care about finding a way for you to overcome your concerns. I understand that you have something bothering you, whether it is anxiety, depression, relational issues, or something else, and I will work to give you the tools to feel better. I live for the moment when someone I work with feels they have met their goals and leaves happier. Many of my previous clients have shared what a good experience they had in therapy, and I would love for you to have a great experience as well.

Hello, My name is Liliana and I work at Utah Lakes Neuroscience Mental Health Center, where we take an integrative approach to Mental Health and Trauma Therapy. Do you feel lost, lonely, scared, helpless? Have you had enough BIG reactions to little events that just leave you feeling so heavy and defeated. Does it all begin with an endless pit in your stomach, or your heart racing so fast you think you're going to spin out of control. Can you feel it right now as you read this? Are you wanting for someone to give you answers, understand you, or just listen without judgement, or preconceived ideas of who you are?

Feeling anxious and overwhelmed? Feeling unsatisfied with life? Feeling like something needs to change? That makes sense! It can be hard to sort through what is affecting you and why, but we can figure this out together.

Finding the right therapist can be difficult, especially if you feel you don't fit the mold. While I have years of experience working with those from a variety of religious and cultural backgrounds, I believe that having a therapeutic space free from undue religious influence or judgement is ideal for growth and change. The Therapy Inn hopes to provide that safe environment where those from any background will feel welcomed, understood, and respected regardless of world view, religious affiliation, gender identity, sexual orientation, or how you take your coffee (or don't.)

Life can definitely throw us unexpected challenges. Whether you are suffering with depression, anxiety, trauma, addictions or difficulty adjusting to other life challenges perhaps I can help. I treat my clients as "unique individuals" not as "a diagnosis." My intent is to help you heal so you may "thrive" not just "survive."

I take a holistic approach to addressing therapy that focuses on helping you to understand and embrace all parts of you and live and authentic life. My ultimate goal is for you to learn to trust yourself and your body and to feel like you are worthy of being loved and treated with respect. Treatment with me tends to be relatively short-term as we purposefully work to understand what makes you feel the need to repress your emotions, how this may connect to your depression or relationship problems, and specifically creating experiences that help you are worthy to live, to love, and be yourself.

Life can get out of control pretty quick, and having somebody to help you sort through the good, the bad, and the weird can be the difference between a beautiful existence and an awful one. I’d love to be that helper for you. You can trust that no matter what you say or what terrible thing is happening in your life, I will treat you with kindness, respect, and care. You live a perfectly unique life that no one else has ever had, and I want to hear your story and work toward wellness together.

I believe there is a purpose in everything that we do and in everything that happens to us. “As soon as we are able to find meaning in suffering, then the suffering is over.” A big part of my approach is helping you let go — to really feel what you need to feel from your past, and then to find the meaning to help you move forward. I have a lot of good experience helping people discover what their purpose is by building self-worth, as well as helping people let go of their pain. I believe that our light doesn’t shine based on how positively we think, but rather on how much of our past darkness we embrace.

Most people would rather hide from change than embrace it. When we do, unseen opportunities aren’t realized. We encourage our clients to focus on positive change- more on strengths than on weaknesses, the solution instead of the problem.
