I work with individuals who are 12 and up desiring support for their depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, PTSD or want to explore more fully the life transitions they are in.
I believe that therapy is a lot like going to a gym where you are working with a personal trainer so that you reengage certain muscles that you might have lost along the way, and want to use again in your day to day life. I will collaborate with you to develop the skills you need to get from point to point b, tune into how your body and mind work together, and find who you are now. My approach is anchored in helping you build self-compassion to embrace yourself and understand the barriers preventing you from becoming the person you want to be.

I specialize in working with people on the Anxiety and Obsessive-Compulsive spectrum including: body-focused repetitive behaviors.
My number one intention as your therapist is to help you have a new experience in therapy and in life. I cultivate a space that allows you to approach experiences that you may be avoiding due to fear, the unknown, or a difficult past experience with curiosity, confidence, and compassion. I believe that in doing so, you can receive new insights about your abilities, what you can tolerate, and how you view yourself and others in the world. My approach is dialectic as it is focused on compassion, flexibility, as well as accountability for therapy success inside and outside of session.

I specialize in anxiety disorders ( OCD and panic). I am passionate about assisting patients with compulsions, fears, and intrusive thoughts that no one wants to talk about, i.e., what if I jumped off a cliff, or hurt someone, what if I no longer believe in my faith. I have an energetic, open and caring style. I will give you clear feedback and things to read and work on outside of therapy so we can make our time more productive and help you meet your goals. We understand the part of brain that misfires in OCD and can actually help you rewire your brain. ERP--Exposure and response prevention is used. Prefer EMAIL inquiry.

Jeff specializes in anxiety, OCD, depression, grief, addiction, life changes, ADHD, PTSD, and those times when we feel “stuck” in life.
Jeff came to Lifestance Health after working here as an Intern during his first year of graduate training. His journey to becoming a therapist came from having run addiction recovery groups as a volunteer for nearly 3 ½ years. There he found how much pain people live with, often while working hard to appear as though nothing is wrong. There is something so incredibly powerful about seeing someone being validated and heard. Before returning to Lifestance, he worked at Renaissance Ranch Treatment Center–helping those in the acute phase of addiction recovery.

Hey, I'm Jess! I work with people healing from trauma, OCD, and anxiety. Trauma impacts us in complex ways, often shaping how we see ourselves, others, and the world around us. It can leave us feeling stuck, even long after the original event. OCD and other anxiety disorders can also leave us feeling this way, making it difficult to engage with life the way we want to. But ultimately, these conditions do not define who you are, and I’m here to help you navigate the path to healing.

Everyone has a unique story, and therapy doesn’t look the same for any two people. I am committed to remaining curious, non-judgemental and open to understanding you. I believe that it is imperative to be grounded in evidence-based practices, I find it equally as important to be genuine and compassionate within this very connection-based work. I primarily utilize humanistic and narrative therapeutic approaches, and often incorporate other modalities to best address the unique needs of each person I work with. I am trained in and offer Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.

My therapy style is intuitive, explorative, and collaborative in nature. This allows for more than surface level interaction and can be helpful in breaking through barriers of avoidance and fear, as the journey into the Self can feel intimidating at times. It is an honor to walk alongside my clients as they overcome barriers they may have once believed were impossible to climb. I take a holistic approach to therapy, addressing core issues related to mind, body, and soul, rather than treating symptoms alone. In my experience, this approach leads to more profound and long- lasting change.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.
What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.
Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.
Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
