In a session with me, you can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space where you and I collaborate to determine what will best work for you. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my approach, which means the questions I ask you are meant to help you think differently. My master’s degree is in Rehabilitation Counseling from Utah State University, which gives me unique insight into working with clients with disabilities or chronic illness. I enjoy working with all age groups - children, teens, or adults. I’m especially passionate in working with neurodivergent clients (i.e. autism, ADHD, OCD, etc) to navigate their unique life experiences.

These areas include individual, couples/marriage, and family therapy with a focus on the system as a whole to create a strong support system in order to provide optimal success for those involved. Therapy is done at the pace of the client/couple/family to create a comfortable, friendly healing environment.

My expertise is marriage counseling, I have been practicing Marriage and Family Therapy for over 20 years and have worked with individuals, couples, and families helping them to cope with and overcome various life challenges such as marriage difficulties (including infidelity), adjustment to divorce, teenage struggles, depression, anxiety, sexual addiction, and sexual intimacy issues. I am a patient and understanding individual that will provide non-judgmental, professional clinical guidance. Listening is my greatest strength.

I love to work with individuals, couples, children, teens, and families to help them imagine and create the future they want. I am passionate about strong relationships, knowing who you are, and having the confidence to get there. I believe that together we can construct solutions and that you can experience improvement in your sense of well-being. I love to see clients recognize their own strengths and ways in which they've been succeeding and to identify which way they're headed.

Our counselors help individuals people with disabilities and/or mental health conditions improve their ability to manage challenges and achieve their life goals. We provide evidence-based counseling services for adolescents and adults experiencing psychological, social, and emotional difficulties related to chronic illness, disability, developmental disability, and other issues of life adjustment.

We work with individuals with a wide range of concerns including depression, mood disorders, family relations issues, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders. I have long had a passion to help people and am so grateful for the chance to do so as a therapist. I enjoy working with individuals of all ages on an individual basis or in a family setting. I specialize in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. As a marriage and family therapist I see the value in including family when desired to increase success. I have extensive knowledge working with individuals with drug and alcohol addiction and their families.

Chelsea holds advanced training in couple therapy (EFT). She understands the negative pattern that couples get stuck in that quickly takes over their relationship; those moments when you say something clearly to your partner and they hear something completely opposite of what your intentions were and before you know it, we are in a fight. Chelsea helps couples to understand those patterns and help to not get stuck in them. Individuals who are seen at her practice, understand distress in their lives and are able to make sense of it and find the tools to move forward in a way that feels right for them.

I offer two distinct services: psychological testing and psychotherapy. As a psychologist, I provide psychological and psychoeducational evaluations to children, adolescents, and adults. Evaluations include a comprehensive understanding of the individual's cognitive and emotional functioning. They target intellectual and academic functioning, learning/memory, executive functioning, personality, and psychopathology. Evaluations may be used for accommodations on standardized exams (e.g. ACT) as well as for Gifted and Talented programs. I also offer Pre-surgical Evaluations, Intellectual Disability Evaluations, and TBI Evaluations. Evaluations may be used to help guide academic (e.g. 504 plans, IEPs, or college accommodations) interventions.
