We all experience moments in life where we feel at a crossroads or overwhelmed by pain, grief, disconnection, and uncertainty. While we may feel terrified or stuck in a dark place, there also might be a part of us that recognizes these moments of suffering as an opportunity to deeply understand ourselves and, by leaning into our own unique strengths, create meaningful change in our lives. My approach is warm, compassionate, and rooted in the belief that each individual holds the power to create a fulfilling and authentic life.

We are not what happened to us, we are what we wish to become- Carl Jung. Life can be challenging and overwhelming dealing with stressors at work, school, or family life. Mental and emotional health can take its' toll. Therapy is a great way to: learn new skills to improve your relationships; develop coping skills; learn to let go of painful emotion; and find a deeper meaning in life. I will consistently show up for you despite your circumstances. I will show unconditional positive regard as you strengthen yourself and your relationships.

I believe that feeling connected and safe are the first steps toward meaningful change. In my practice, I strive to provide a non-judgmental and supportive environment where individuals can explore things with freedom, develop a deeper understanding and love for themselves and find ways to live their lives in the direction of their chosen values. I enjoy working with teenagers and adults who experience a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, chronic shame, and issues related to racial and ethnic identity.

I have worked in the Mental and Behavioral health field more than 7 years, serving in several settings including, schools, shelters, and medical offices. I have extensive experience working with children and their families to address their mental and behavioral health concerns. I like to joke that the scope of children's needs that I've worked with range from Major Depressive Disorders, to toilet training, and everything in between! I believe that every family is capable of reaching their goals for health and happiness and I am eager to help each family achieve this.

I love helping kids with big feelings and anxiety. I love breaking down emotional walls and connecting with teens struggling with school, friends, concerns with self harm, or just life in general (its tough to be a teen these days!). I help adults navigate life's challenges (anxiety, depression, grief, general stress, workplace burnout, etc). I have a soft and compassionate approach in therapy and we like to say here that we bring the "Treat" back to Treatment. Of course our sessions wont always be rainbows and butterflies, but the results of our time together will have you or your child growing and finding the joy in life again.

We are a practice that focus's on allowing our therapists the freedom to connect with people in any situation they choose. We are not a one-size-fits-all group, because everyone is unique in their own way.

What are you looking for in therapy? The most common goal of clients is to 'develop coping skills.' We have been repeatedly told diet, exercise, meditation, and adequate sleep can all improve our mood, but why aren't we doing it. Through processing painful experiences and emotions, I have seen clients improve their overall well-being and finally live the life they want.

Our past experiences, especially childhood experiences, directly influence who we are today, either consciously or unconsciously. A trained, empathetic therapist can help you unravel some of those past experiences to figure out why we do something and then intentionally do something that brings in healing. I believe that effective therapy can help someone choose a better future and to get out of the shadows of their past. The work can be hard, but if done with the right therapist, it can feel rewarding and enlightening.

Many people hold trauma from the past, which develops into negative core beliefs. These beliefs, when not explored and processed, can result in life choices that are not always the healthiest or most positive for continued growth. We will work together to process the trauma and allow you to live your most fulfilled and happy life. Together we can look at issues such as anxiety, grief, depression, and anger to pinpoint the cause of these painful emotions and work together to develop a new way of addressing these issues.

Over the last 11 years, I have had the privilege of working with great people in helping them achieve their potential. I focus especially on creating healthy relationships within the family environment, and teaching children positive self esteem and respect for themselves and others. I apply positive psychology and strength-based training to increase the abilities and desires of youth to succeed and improve performance at home and at school. I have tremendous respect for the notion that no one is great at everything, but through hard work everyone can be great at something.
