Uptown Downtown Psychothetherapy is a group practice with offices on the Upper West Side and in TriBeCa. We offer evaluation and psychotherapy to adults, children and adolescents, as well as couples and family therapy. We have expertise in many clinical areas including mood and anxiety disorders, trauma and (c)PTSD, personality disorders, issues specific to LGBTQI and gender and sexual identity, disorders of attachment, relationship difficulties, and family systems therapy. We provide a safe space in which our patients can explore and work through different challenges with a supportive and empathic psychologist.
We help our patients to overcome internal barriers, cope with obstacles in their lives, and achieve personal insight, while supporting both internal and external goals. Psychodynamically informed, we cull from different therapeutic modalities to meet our patients’ individual needs. We also offer supportive therapy to people undergoing ketamine treatment.
We offer treatment across the lifespan. We can help patients who have multiple needs, setting up an integrated and holistic treatment plan to address the difficulties of both the person and the couples/family system.
