I believe counseling is a process of healing areas that conflict with maintaining a healthy life. I believe it is important to develop a therapeutic alliance to further the effectiveness of the counseling process. I believe in a person-centered approach, where the therapeutic alliance is built on trust, empathy, and collaboration. In this therapeutic process, we will collaborate to establish a treatment plan that has specific goals for the client to work towards.
My practices are built in cognitive-behavioral techniques, which I find effective in helping clients identify and change unhealthy thought patterns and behaviors, I also incorporate elements of reality therapy and solution-focused therapy to tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs.
