My name is Tyneshia “Ty” Brooks. I have been in the mental health Behavioral Health field over 20 years. I have worked with a plethora of clients from all walks of life, with great success. For the last 11 years I have worked with the State of Nevada working with clients who have Intellectual disabilities and other intellectual and mental diagnoses. I have a great working knowledge and experience working with individuals, groups, couples, and families within a therapeutic framework.
I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy, reality therapy, and many other modalities. I have worked with interdisciplinary professionals and areas within social services including but not limited to doctors, lawyers, the courts, DCFS, community case managers, psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists.
I am open to using religious practices and prayer, meditation, spiritual healing practices, various therapy styles, and resources to develop the ideal environment and therapeutic solutions in order to accomplish and empower my client's healing goals.
