I currently have daytime openings (e.g. 9-3) for in person appointments. Are you curious about aspects of your life that have become difficult for you? I see psychotherapy as an educational process, and my role is to help you to get to know yourself in a different way. I take a stance that is non-pathologizing, and believe that everyone, no matter how many overwhelming experiences one has had, also has the capacity to heal. I am grounded in an approach based on Internal family systems (IFS), and incorporate elements of mindfulness, as well as sensorimotor psychotherapy, and attachment theories in my work.
I have worked for over 15 years in the mental health field including private practice, community mental health, and college counseling. I am comfortable working with folks from all different backgrounds and experiences. I have extensive training in the treatment of trauma, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Attachment.
It's important to me to get regular, on-going training and consultation so that I can best serve my clients. I also speak Spanish as a second language and can provide services in Spanish. I am independently licensed in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
