If you have a concern about your child, I know it can keep you up at night. Maybe you've tried internet searches or self-help books - but lately, you're feeling ready for some professional help. I take pride in meeting your family where you are with professional, helpful, and immediate suggestions. I am a great fit for families who feel they have not been asked to participate their child's therapy very often. I am one of the only therapists in Louisville with a specialization in chronic constipation.
I offer expertise in worry, behavior problems, trauma and attachment. Many times they are all connected! My approach is somewhat rare because I am very direct. I find many adults, and parents, haven't had this before in a therapist. I also have the resources around me to use play therapy and expressive approaches.
My approach includes parents, especially for elementary age kids.. I believe that parents should be the head of the family, and that kids are the happiest and healthiest when they are in a good routine, with clear rules and expectations. Every family's quest for balance is unique. I will work to understand and support yours.
