I have worked with a multitude of issues: anxiety, Depression, relationship issues, trauma, sex abuse, sex addiction, drug addiction, and alcohol addiction.
Sometimes life feels like it gets so big that we feel that getting a solid grip on it is impossible. I work with the individual to help them see that the problem is not as big as it may seem. We work together, by using their tools and strengths, to break it down to a manageable size. This allows the client to create a better way of coping with the issues.

My practice included working with persons with anger management, physical and substance abuse concerns, employment and legal challenges.
As a society, we have grown distant from each other, alone in many phases of life. We experience life situations alone and repeat problematic patterns not knowing how to change or cope. As a psychotherapist I am spiritually based and believe the family is the foundation which supports the healthy development of it's member's. As a clinician I seek to develop therapeutic relationships which prepare the person for change which positively impact their life. For over 20 years I have worked with families, couples, individuals and children in a wide variety of psychological, emotional, behavioral and cognitive challenges.

Some areas I work with are Trauma and PTSD (using EMDR as appropriate), grief, spirituality, anxiety, stress, depression, and domestic abuse.
Early morning, evening, and Saturday appointments available. Your family and even many therapists don't understand you and are not open. Anxiety, relationship issues, numbness, and negative self-image can be signs of trauma. The life transitions you are going through feel harder than you think they should. You feel like you are carrying a heavy load that no one else can see and are disillusioned. Perhaps you had spiritual experiences or dreams you cannot make sense of. You don't know what to believe anymore. But you've had enough of this. You want hope and meaning in your life. I get you. Let me help you move from pain to purpose!

Are you feeling stuck and unsure of where to turn next? Life can be difficult to navigate through its ups and downs. Many times individuals are simply lacking specific tools to be able to navigate through the turbulence. Sometimes life has been so overwhelming for so long that it seems impossible to even begin. At any of these points in your journey, it helps to know that you aren't alone and that many have traveled similar paths before you.

Domestic Abuse Therapists
What are the most effective ways to recover from domestic abuse?
Leaving an abusive relationship requires tremendous courage, so survivors in treatment should recognize that they have already completed the most important step. Still, the trauma of physical or emotional abuse can be difficult to process and overcome. Therapy can help survivors process trauma, grief, and difficult emotions, treat relevant mental health symptoms, and create a new framework for boundaries and relationships in the future. For some, support groups can also be an invaluable outlet for healing.
When should an individual seek help for domestic abuse?
Victims of intimate partner violence should seek help immediately. It can take substantial time, planning, energy, and courage to leave an abusive relationship, but starting the process—by seeking therapy, calling the domestic violence hotline, or simply confiding in a loved one—will help them get there. Those who have left abusive relationships but haven’t sought treatment can also greatly benefit from therapy to process and heal from the experience.
What are the consequences of staying in an abusive relationship?
Remaining in an abusive relationship has serious repercussions. In addition to the ongoing threat of physical danger and emotional abuse, research shows that intimate partner violence is associated with a range of mental health disorders including depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and substance abuse. Therefore it’s important for individuals in an abusive relationship to seek help as soon as possible.
How can you get domestic abuse treatment for someone else?
It can be very complicated to identify and leave an abusive relationship; barriers include the threat of violence, financial instability, and family pressures. Those concerned about a loved one in an abusive relationship should talk to them about the situation, provide them with resources such as the domestic violence hotline, and introduce the idea of seeing a therapist due to their concern for the person’s safety and well-being.
