I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families treating addiction, self-esteem issues, anger, anxiety, depression, work-related stress, marital/premarital issues. I use an experiential model of therapy that encourages clients to examine their past experiences that have shaped their beliefs about the world. I believe the deepest changes in our life happen when we utilize social support and self-compassion. My ultimate goal is to give each client an opportunity to experience this in session.

My client is someone seeking help for anxiety, depression, and adjusting to changes in his/her life. (S)He may have been triggered and is now experiencing nightmares, or feeling overwhelmed. (S)He has come to realize that perhaps there have been things in the past that (s)he thought were resolved but are once more affecting him/her. My client is having difficulty sleeping, there is decreased appetite, there are times that perhaps (s)he is dealing with anger or irritability. The thoughts keep coming and (s)he cannot control them. It's hard to concentrate and the thoughts are keeping him/her up at night. Life is difficult.

My focus is to work collaboratively and alongside with you to help navigate and gain a better understanding of your emotions, past experiences, and most critical concerns. Our emotions can be strong and difficult to manage, in session we can focus on providing you the ability to practice emotion regulation, relaxation, mindfulness, and coping techniques.
