I worked for 10+ years as a therapist in a highly respected residential treatment center for adolescents with addiction as well as other mental health issues. My experience also includes working with people with extreme stress, depression and anxiety. I have over 25 years of experience as a helper to include a career as a high school science teacher and school counselor. I returned to school to earn my PhD from Texas A&M-Commerce University to become a therapist.

Dr. Jackson has a bachelors' and masters' degree in General Psychology from the University of Houston. Her Doctor of Philosophy Degree is in Clinical Adolescent Psychology from Prairie View A & M. She has been involved in clinical work for the past 21 years and a college professor for 16 years.

I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families. I believe in addressing a client's immediate concern, their current functioning, and their identified goals. I use a variety of treatment modalities and select those that best serve the needs of my clients. I do not believe in meeting with clients indefinitely. My hope is to help clients reach their goals and get to the point where they no longer need therapy.
