I've been in the receiving side of therapy before so I know what it's like to take this first step. As a Christian therapist, I want to offer to my clients the hope of an abundant life; regardless of your circumstances. These include for you to feel heard, have hope, receive healing skills, empathy and understanding. This helps clients work through their difficulties and struggles; while reminding them of and building on their strengths and current resources.

Both children and adults have the ability to learn, grow and heal. It's my honor to hear your story through verbal communication, art or play therapy. My goal is to come along side of you and/or your child to facilitate the healing process through creative methods.

I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients are able to express their thoughts, feelings, and emotions. I place heavy importance on developing a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship to encourage clients to develop better coping skills that empower them to reach their therapeutic goals. I specialize in working with children and adolescents with depression, anxiety, and behavioral issues. I also work with a wide variety of adults with issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, sexuality, emerging adults, grief, domestic violence, addictions, and career challenges.

It is my prayer that God will use each counseling opportunity to allow me to help a person see the strengths within themselves and to take one step at a time in overcoming the struggles of life. Struggles and setbacks in life can hit anyone at any time; none of us are immune. I also believe God created each of us to walk with joy in life, however, I believe he knows we need His helpers here on earth in staying on that joyful walk.

I believe in the process of therapy. Safety is essential at every age. My goal is to provide a safe place for children and teens in the foster care system to process and work through trauma based issues. I also see clients in my private practice.

Often our life-path is interrupted with events that are uncontrollable and unpreventable. In additions, many are devastating and can send us spiraling. I believe in the resiliency of the human mind, body, and spirit and desire to help people rediscover the joy of their life's journey

Welcome! I am so glad you found me. Fostering a safe place to share and express yourself is very important to me. I am a highly trained therapist who works with children and adolescents ages 3-18 as well as young adults and parents. I received my undergraduate degree from Dallas Baptist University and my Masters in Counseling from the University of North Texas. I have also worked with foster and adoptive children and their families and I am trauma informed as well as having experience in education. I create an open environment with positive regard for my clients without judgment of the circumstances they find themselves in.
