Amy helps concerning personal and social issues as well as working with those who are dealing with anxiety. She has over 20 years of experience helping in public school settings, especially with navigating special programs. Amy’s desire is to help individuals in a practical way that allows the individual to feel seen and heard through collaboration, empathy, and compassion, while allowing individuals to experience autonomy in problem-solving.

My areas of specialty include first responder PTSD, substance abuse, trauma, anxiety/depression, relationship discord, and mindfulness. I am EMDR trained and have extensive experience utilizing EMDR to resolve trauma associated with first responder experiences, accidents, grief/loss, military combat, childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, and more. My work, as well as my personal life, is grounded in mindfulness. When we train our attention to stay in the present moment, we become much more aware of the stories we tell ourselves and how much suffering we experience as a result.

Tabitha decided to go into social work and counseling because she wanted to help people learn how to become the best versions of themselves. Tabitha has experience and passion working with individuals who are adjusting to major life changes such as birth of a child, becoming an empty nester, job changes, changes in marital status, etc. She has experience with helping clients learn to cope and thrive with mood disorders including anxiety, depression, and bi-polar diagnoses. Tabitha also works with patients experiencing disordered eating as well as adults and teens with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
