Hey I'm Liz! I'm happy you're here. I recognize that looking for the right therapist can be overwhelming. My hope is to make the process easier in anyway that I can. If you have found yourself on my page, I don't need to speculate about the hardships you have faced in your life. I don't want to make assumptions about what those hardships might be. I genuinely want to hear your voice and your story. I want to explore with you the pain that is preventing you from reaching your full potential, whatever that may be. Because I understand that if you are seeking a therapist, you have a unique story and a desire to heal.

I believe a strong therapeutic relationship in the counseling room is the beginning for clients who are wanting to explore living their best life. My passion for working with clients stems from my own past life experiences. I am a “seasoned person” who believes all people deserve to be heard. My goal is to create a supportive and safe space where clients feel honored and free to explore the parts of themselves.

Welcome! I’m so happy that you have taken this step to create change in your life. Due to negative experiences, many times we learn unhelpful behaviors and beliefs over time. I believe that healing takes place when you have someone to walk alongside to create space where you can safely deal with what concerns you without shame and without judgement. My goal is to create that space and to be that person who will walk with you as you confront what is no longer serving you and develop lasting change.

Anxiety can be an encompassing experience, affecting not just your thoughts and emotions, but your physical well-being too. It often creates a pervasive sense of unease that can make day-to-day life feel more challenging. You’ll often feel out of control, simply reacting to the troubles around you. But you don’t have to live like this forever.

Rare is it to be born a human being, rarer still to have heard of Enlightenment, and even rarer still to pursue it. My clients are looking for more, and are committed to a process of transformation. They want proactive tools that melt everything in the way of their highest authentic self. They want to feel completely at home within their own bodies and to truly heal their relationships, especially the one with themselves.

My career started as a classroom teacher and school counselor. I currently have over 20 years of experience working with students and families. In addition to my school counseling career, I am a crisis clinician in a major hospital in the DFW metroplex and work in over 32 emergency rooms providing on-call patient care. We all face unexpected challenges which sometimes leave us feeling hopeless and powerless. I believe that we have the ability to make healthy and appropriate choices regardless of the circumstances in which we may find ourselves.

Becoming a parent often brings up a wide range of emotions. Sometimes it is the long awaited reward after struggling with infertility, or bearing the grief of miscarriage and loss. Sometimes it is the excitement of adding to a growing family. Sometimes it is the fear of reliving physical, emotional, or mental pain and hardship. Sometimes it is grappling with the societal and cultural expectations of parenting. The experiences that arise for parents during conception, pregnancy, birth, postpartum and parenting deserve a space for specialized care and attention. This specialized care is what I offer in support of your goals.

Deciding to begin therapy can be a vulnerable time in life. I am here to help you, as your therapist, identify your goals, find your strengths, and implement healthy coping skills. I work with children, adults, and families to focus on healing. I enjoy working with all ages, and specialize in working with children (and their caregivers) and individuals with an abuse history. In therapy, we will utilize your strengths and interests, such as art or play for children, to individualize treatment!
