Life has its way of revealing truths about ourselves and our world, despite the lies we tell ourselves. It’s hard to acknowledge them and even harder to make appropriate changes. It’s easier to just suppress, deflect, or remain oblivious to truths. In therapy, you’ll have a safe space to explore and process the thorns of life (disappointment, rejection, shame, guilt, abuse, etc.) and identify ways to constructively navigate through them. New thorns will form, but how you respond to them determines your quality of life. Life is immensely unpredictable, but like the weather, we can and will adjust to its changes, with the right tools.

My passion for counseling stems from my cultural background, I’ve witnessed and experienced first hand how difficult it can be to seek mental health help within a minority community. As a first generation Palestinian-American, I realized that counseling and taking care of your mental health was such a foreign topic.
