I have a zeal for learning ways to inspire and help others. I came to Texas by way of the inner city of Northern New Jersey, and by the way of civil war ravaged Liberia in West Africa. I have learned that relationships continually call us to develop greater consciousness through shedding old beliefs and ways in order to grow. Relationships compel us to bring forth the light of awareness within all of us to engender the courage to be more of the deeper sense of who we are. My approach to counseling germinates from this disposition.

I have successfully taught children as early as those in Program Head Start, before becoming a Texas Teacher & School Counselor, and ultimately a LPC-Supervisor . As a child advocate who tries to understand the needs of the child in hopes of helping with mental or emotional turmoil. One may say or think that I specialize in treating children? This would be false, because I can't recall a situation where I could help the child without helping the parents, and even the whole family. Family history and dynamics plays a "Huge" role in your child's development and behaviors.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I come from Taiwan with the ability to conduct counseling service in Mandarin and Taiwanese. I received my Master of education in counseling at the University of Houston-Victoria in Texas. I was trained in individual therapy, family therapy, career counseling, and group counseling. I received the Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) training at Taiwan mindfulness association. My experience includes in dealing with mood disorders, Anxiety, PTSD, family conflict, relationship problems, conduct problem, and personal development issues.

Making healthy connected relationships in our continually disconnecting world is a vital approach in my practice. I work with children, adolescents and young adults to better understand their emotional state while also addressing unwanted emotional and/or behavioral reactions. Engaging parents, especially those of younger children, is very important to me. I also enjoy working with young adults who are dealing with phase of life issues, anxiety and mild depression.
